Fragment runs on the TON blockchain and settles in Gram — the coin called Toncoin until 15 June 2026. To pay you connect a TON wallet ("Connect TON") and your Telegram account (fragment.com/about).

Fragment and Telegram Ads#

This is the part that matters most for advertising:

• For advertisers: the self-serve Telegram Ads cabinet is funded in Gram. In the cabinet you choose Budget → Add Funds and pay on Fragment (fragment.com/ads). The Telegram client's official top-up link also points to Fragment (API config).
• For sponsors: the "For Sponsors" block — "Use Grams to sponsor posts on Telegram by making offers to public channel admins". You top up Gram on a Telegram account, your own or a colleague's, and make Suggested Post offers in the app (fragment.com/ads/topup).
• For channel owners: Telegram shares 50% of ad revenue with channels and bots, and Fragment Corp processes the payouts. Gram becomes withdrawable 2 days after it accrues, Stars after 21 days (ToS).

Collectible usernames and numbers are priced in Gram. As listed on Fragment on 23 September 2026:

• The most expensive username ever sold: @danbao — 1,583,948 Gram, on 7 February 2026. The next ones on the list are from the 2022 launch: @news (994,000), @auto (900,000) (Fragment).
• The most expensive number: +888 8 666 — 666,666 Gram, on 25 August 2026. Eight of the nine most expensive numbers sold on Fragment changed hands between March and August 2026 (Fragment).
• Gifts: 120 collections with about 1.37 million items listed on Fragment (fragment.com/gifts).

Prices in Gram translate into very different dollar amounts depending on the day: the coin's price floats.

KYC and stablecoins#

• Identity checks. Since 25 November 2024 Fragment has required verification (via Sumsub) for buying Stars, Premium and anonymous numbers (tginfo). Be ready for it when topping up ad balances too.
• Stablecoins. Stars can be bought on Fragment not only for Gram but also for USDT and USDC on several networks (fragment.com/stars/buy). Ads and Suggested Posts are still paid in Gram (or Stars).

There is no public "Fragment API"#

A frequent question in 2026. Fragment does not publish a developer API: fragment.com/api is the site's own backend tied to a browser session, and its FAQ points developers to the public TON blockchain instead (fragment.com/about). Services that sell "Fragment API keys" are third-party wrappers that work through your web session and often your wallet's seed phrase — which gives them control of the wallet. Telegram's API does expose some Fragment data officially: for example, the purchase date and price of a collectible username or number (Telegram API).

Watch out for look-alikes as well: a domain imitating Fragment's name was registered in May 2026. Always type fragment.com by hand.
